Evaluation on Marc Tyler :
Simply put, a rare running back prospect. Marc Tyler has the ideal blend of size, power, speed and exceptional receiving abilities. However, Marc Tyler could also move right over to defense in college and become a premier linebacker as well. Marc Tyler is so versatile and you would feel comfortable with him in any scheme or with the ball in his hands in any situation. Marc Tyler is the type of back that gets stronger with more carries, and he will wear defenses out in the 4th quarter. Marc Tyler has great vision, he can read blocks well and he hits the hole quickly and with authority. Marc Tyler has a great feel for picking and finding the seam. Marc Tyler has excellent change-of-direction skills and does not lose power or speed when he makes his cuts. Marc Tyler is a better inside runner than he is an outside runner but has exceptional ability to bounce inside runs outside and has a burst in the open field. He runs with good body tilt, Marc Tyler has powerful legs and one would-be tackler is not going to bring him down. Marc Tyler's ability to sidestep through the hole and avoid in the crease is impressive given his size. As a receiver, Marc Tyler can line up just about anywhere. Is excellent down the seam, reads defenses well and almost always locates a soft spot when working against zone coverage. Accelerates out of cuts, can change directions quickly and runs crisp short-to-intermediate routes. Marc Tyler catches the ball with hands away from body, has the body control to adjust to passes thrown outside frame. Marc Tyler shows a second gear in the open field, has the elusiveness to make defenders miss and he's a homerun-threat after the catch. Marc Tyler has the base and overall strength to develop into a fine, aggressive pass protector. If there is any weakness, it is that Marc Tyler does not have elite quickness. Marc Tyler is very good in space, but not great -- he's more straight-lined. Marc Tyler is a unique talent and one that could make an immediate impact.
