Marc Tyler Biography - USC Trojans Marc Tyler BiographyMarc Tyler was born on September 27, 1988 in Palmdale, California. Marc Tyler is an American football running back playing for the University of Southern California. Marc Tyler will be attending the University of Southern California or USC Trojans starting in August 2007.

Marc Tyler was one of the most complete running backs nationally, Marc Tyler is a powerful runner and is very tough to tackle. Marc Tyler got good instincts and hands, catching the ball well out of the backfield.

  

Marc Tyler was one of the best running back prospects in California in the past decade. Marc Tyler is the son of former UCLA and NFL running back Wendell Tyler, Marc Tyler has been a prolific running back for Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian since Marc Tyler's freshman year. As a junior (13-0), Marc Tyler was an all-state underclass selection, rushing for 2,196 yards and 39 touchdowns on 182 attempts. Marc Tyler also had 40 receptions for six more scores. Marc Tyler helped lead the Lions to their third straight CIF Division X title.

Marc Tyler is attending Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, as a senior and has committed to the University of Southern California. In Marc Tyler senior season, Marc Tyler scored 31 touchdowns and averaged 12.2 yards per carry. Marc Tyler broke his left leg during a playoff game in November 2006; as a result, he had a stainless steel rod surgically implanted in his leg.

Despite the injury, Marc Tyler remained a 5-star recruit and was ranked as the 2nd best running back prospect in the U.S. behind fellow USC recruit Joe McKnight, and the 17th best overall. At Oaks Christian High School, Marc Tyler played alongside quarterback Jimmy Clausen, the nation's #1 rated recruit overall.
